Parking Reminder

I might be sounding like a broken record, however, will you please review our parking reminder again and help us to keep Country Meadows safe and orderly?

Please, we are pleading, only park in parking spots in our lot.  Parking alongside our sidewalk or in the bus lot will cause a problem in the event there is an emergency situation.  Further, parking alongside the curb causes a great deal of frustration for the parents and staff at Parent Pick-Up and Drop-off.

In the event that a staff member asks you to move your car, please respect the messenger.

Also, when you are dropping off students in the morning or picking them up in the afternoon, always have the children use the curbside door of your car.  We would hate for any accidents to happen!

Golden Rule School

All students and staff at Country Meadows are working hard to make our school the first Golden Rule School!  In order to become a Golden Rule school, we are all committing to always treating others the way that we would like to be treated.  Please join us!

Each classroom enjoyed reading and discussing the picture book, The Golden Rule, by Ilene Cooper with me (Ms. Schneider).  This treasure will be kept in all 23 classrooms as a reminder of what it takes to be a Golden Rule School!

The illustrations by Gabi Swiatkowska are quite amazing!  Even more impressive is that every child at Country Meadows provided thoughtful examples of how they can work together to make CM a Golden Rule School!

If you are interested in enjoying the book, we have a copy in the main office.  Feel free to browse it when you visit school.  Ask your child about reading with me and what he/she is going to do to contribute to making Country Meadows a Golden Rule School!

Our First Spirit Day

We are celebrating our journey to become the first
Golden Rule School!

On Friday, September 28th,
please have your child wear gold or yellow to school!

Important Note about After-School Clubs at School

If you have signed a permission slip for your student to attend an afterschool club, we will make your student stay for that club unless we are notified by way of a note sent with your child to his/her teacher in the morning.

Many times, children like to verbally convince us that their plans have changed.  Each time, we learn that the child was confused because of possibly overhearing a conversation. Therefore, we maintain the practice of not changing the plan to stay after school unless we have note.  Thank you for your help!

Also, continue to check our forms website for permission slips.  They will be added as clubs get started.  We would love to host your child in an activity after school!

Volunteers for the Learning Center!

Country Meadows Parents!

Do you love books like we do?  We would really appreciate your help in the Learning Center!  We are looking for volunteers to help us shelve our books and keep our books organized.  We will work around your schedule, so any day or time you are available would be terrific!  Thank you so much in advance for your support!
